The 1Voice Foundation provides pediatric cancer patients and their families with educational and emotional support. The foundation believes that when the child is diagnosed the whole family is as well. All of our programs provided are for patients and siblings excluding the 1Voice Academy. The nonprofit is run by Mary Ann Massolio, a pediatric oncology social worker who went from the staff lounge to the parent lounge when her own son Jay was diagnosed at 9 years old. The programs are a reflection of a pediatric oncology bereaved mom and social worker. At the 1Voice Foundation you will not only find a community that understands but also a community that is driven to provide support. The 1Voice Foundation is a volunteer based organization with one paid employee and two contractors allowing for funding to go directly to our programs, research, and advocacy work.
The 1Voice Academy dedicates its resources to the children and families affected by childhood cancer, creating a safe place for kids to have an education and community filled with love and support. Mary Ann Massolio the Executive Director of the 1Voice Foundation shares her story in this documentary and future goals for the eradication of leukemia. Also featured Karen Gliddon, founder of K Pea's Place, an educational music filled classroom that strives to bring children and families together.
